Well we did it! We got married! Beautiful ceremony, wonderful friends, awesome music - and loads of quality time with our wonderful families! Who could ask for anything more, you might ask??
Well, we could ask for more. Just a little something - a little HONEYMOON in HAWAII!!! Here's a look at our arrival day - was only a half day on the island of O'ahu, but still a lovely day, nonetheless!
After some tearful good byes (mainly James and Crumpet) we left Minnesota and hopped on a plane to Honolulu. The flight was a smooth one - I had some tasty tapas while James slept...
We arrived at Honolulu International at 3:30 in the afternoon and promptly went to fetch our car - a Chrysler Sebring Convertible whom we named Lola (because she's red - and she's a showgirl). A short drive to the Waikiki Parc Hotel and we discovered that as honeymooners we not only got Lei'd ...
...but we also got a little something in the room! (or rather I may have had it waiting for James, but it was still a surprise for him!)
Then we got dressed and went out for a fancy dinner at Roy's! (I had the Lobster Roll with the Macadamia nut fish for my main course - it was DELICIOUS. James had the Flaming Dragon Roll, ate all his ginger and my ginger and he had a salad!)
And we both may have had some cocktails...
Finally - we have a tradition we started last year at Roy's with our friends Dietra and Jason: I have to put all the umbrellas from our drinks in my hair... It's a pretty big "to do".... see below...
The staff at Roy's obliged me by offering multiple umbrellas... Good times... More on the full first day here from James!
